How much smaller will my PDF get?

It depends on the file. Scans and photo-heavy PDFs often shrink by 60–90%. Text-only PDFs are already small and change little.

Will my text still be selectable?

With “Less compression”, yes. The stronger levels redraw pages as images, so text can’t be selected afterwards.

What if compression makes the file bigger?
